Sharp-eyed listener Juliette S. just spotted this treasure on Australian eBay: Four tickets to an upcoming One Direction concert in Sydney. As I type, the price is hovering in the stratosphere at about $200 American per person, but I'll bet you one of Harry Styles's dimples it'll escape Earth's gravity any second now.
Do I hear $250?
As for why the tickets are being sold, that's another treasure in itself: Apparently a parent is auctioning off the tickets to punish a daughter who got a little lippy after receiving the four-pack as a birthday gift.
"See sweety?" the description reads. "And you thought I was bluffing. I hope the scowl on your bitchy little friends [sic] faces when you tell them that your dad and i [sic] revoked the gift we were giving you all reminds you that your PARENTS are the ones that deserve love and respect more than anyone."
The description could be a hoax, of course. But the price is looking pretty serious.
(As a matter of perspective: A ticket for superstar Beyonce's upcoming Mrs. Carter Tour stop in Los Angeles ranges between $45 and $260. Maximum.)
